Born in Hamamatsu, 1952. He began designing clocks and stationery in 1980.
In 1983, he designed the exhibition space used for Bodyworks by Issey Miyake and also space used by Brian Eno, etc.
From 1993 to 2003, he was in charge of art direction for the “Tokyo Motor Show–Suzuki Motorcycle” and the interior design of the Amalfi MODERN restaurant in OAZO, Marunouchi in 2004. In the field of product design, he worked on watch designs for the Alfex Corporation in 1996 and has been responsible for the design of stationery for Lexon Corp. since 2000.
He is a winner of Good Design Awards and others. His products can be seen as permanent collections in museums around the globe, including at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York.
