< 芯 SHIN
In order to produce Shin, a standing shoehorn, the maximal allowance of gap between the shoehorn and the shoehorn holder was thoroughly tested. In the end, this allowed Shin to both stand vertically in the holder and be taken out from it without hassle. It is designed as slim as possible, so that it won’t take up much space by the front door.
The shoehorn is made of aluminum with a handle made from aluminum pipe. The tip of the shoehorn, made with forged parts, connects seamlessly with the joint. Such a lightweight shoehorn that can be used without bending one’s knees is another burden removed from daily life and, moreover, is a classy decorative touch by the front door.

Comments by the Selection Committee
A shoehorn that stands vertically from the small base-stand. It appears to be a simple, but must have been complex to design. The center of gravity is lowered by using aluminum pipe for the handle, and the base-stand is made of solid silicon to provide stability.
This elegant effect is a result of the product’s basic construction, which reduced as much as possible the gap between the mouth of the shoe and the shoehorn itself.
