Safety advice(Prevent accidental battery ingestion)
Please do not put small parts or batteries within the reach of small children.
Should the product be swallowed please seek immediate medical treatment from a doctor.
Battery warnings and cautions
- In the case that liquid is leaking from the battery please use rubber gloves to remove the battery and do not touch it with your bare hands.
- In the case that liquid leaking from the battery enters the eyes, wash cleanly away with water immediately because there is the danger of becoming blind and please seek treatment from a doctor. In addition, please wash away with water if the content becomes attached to the skin or clothes.
- Do not short-circuit, disassemble, heat or put the product in a fire. This can cause leakage of liquid, overheating, or explosion.
If the batteries are not used correctly there will be the danger of overheating, explosion, or leaking that will cause damage to the human body or area surrounding the clock.
- Be careful not to place the + (positive) and - (negative) ends in the opposite positions.
- Please quickly remove used batteries.
- Please remove the batteries if the product is not going to be used for a long period of time.
- Do not recharge the batteries.
- If the clock is not working it may be because the battery terminals are dirty. Please clean them with a soft cloth.
For proper use
Please do not use the clock in the following kinds of places. The quality of the mechanics, case and batteries will deteriorate, accuracy will be poor and the length of the life of the clock and battery will be shortened.
- Places with a temperature above +50°C/+122°F. For example, places that have long hours of direct sunlight. Places close to the fire or hot air coming from heating appliances.
- In places directly in the air stream coming from cooling and heating appliances.
- Places with a temperature of less than -10°C/+14°F (10 degrees below freezing point) (This can cause deterioration of plastic parts or batteries.)
- In places that have high humidity, such as bathrooms.
- Places that have a lot of dust. (If particles in the air get caught in the mechanical parts, the clock may stop.)
- In places where there are strong magnetic fields, such as next to a television, office automation equipment or audio equipment. (The effect of the magnetic force may cause the clock to go fast or slow or to stop.)
- In places with strong vibration, such as in cars, on boats, or at construction sites.
- Places where gas is emitted, such as at hot springs.
- Places where a lot of oil is used. (If vaporized oil sticks to the case or mechanical parts, this will cause the product to become soiled or stop working.)
- The wooden frame may become damaged if it is in very dry or very humid conditions for a long time.
- If the plastic surface of the main body of the clockcover is in direct contact with soft polyvinyl chloride for a long time, the colors may be transferred or the plastic and soft polyvinyl chloride may be stuck together.
- Please do not use it outside.
How to mount the clock(in case of a wall clock)
Improper mounting of the clock may result in falling off the wall.
- Please mount it straight. There is the danger that it may come off the mount if it is not hung up straight.
- When you have mounted the clock, lightly move it up and down and to the right and left and check whether the mounting screw is securely fitted in the wall-mounting metal hanger (or the wall-mounting hole).
- If you purchase your own mounting hanger, please choose a hanger on which the product can be securely mounted.
- In case of mounting the clock on thick wooden walls or wooden beams
- In case of mounting the clock on walls made of materials such as gypsum board or concrete
In case of mounting the clock on thick wooden walls or wooden beams
Please use the included (in case of a wall clock) wall mounting screw. Please screw it straight into the wall so that 9mm or less of the screw remains protruding from the wall. If the gap is large and unstable, please adjust it by screwing the screws further in.
In case of mounting the clock on walls made of materials such as gypsum board or concrete
Please do not use the included (in case of a wall clock) wall mounting screw. Please use a commercially available mounting hanger that is suitable for the weight of the clock, materials, and structure of the wall. For this purpose, do not use double-sided tape or suction hooks because there is the danger that the clock may fall down.
Concerning maintenance
- When the product is very dirty, wipe off with a soft cloth wet with a little synthetic detergent diluted in water or soapy water and after that, wipe it with a dry cloth.
- Please do not use benzene, paint thinner, alcohol, or any kind of spray cleaner to clean the product.
- If you mount the clock on a wall, there is a possibility that the clock and wall will become dirty by static electricity. So please remove the dirt on a regular basis.
About using a clock with no cover
This clock has no cover, and its hands are not protected.
- Do not touch the hour hand. Please refrain from touching the hour hand as it may cause a malfunction or the time and time signal may fall out of sync.(To adjust the time, slowly turn the minute hand clockwise.)
- The clock may malfunction if the hands come into contact with the clock face. To avoid the following problems, please handle them with care.→Misalignment of the clock hands (the hands have deviated from their correct position) / Deformation of the hands / Contact between the hands / Time delay / Damage to the clock face
- Do not use the clock within the reach of children.
- The clock hands are exposed and may cause injury.
Handling Instructions for Temperature and Humidity Meter
- Please install the device in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.Avoid placing it near air conditioners or heaters, as their presence results in inaccurate average readings.
- Allow approximately 1-2 hours after installation for the readings to stabilize.
- Please note that there may be an error of ±2℃ for temperature measurements and ±5% for humidity measurements.
- Handle the device with care to avoid drops or shocks, which could impair its functionality.
- Do not touch the interior of the temperature and humidity meter.
